This is a cembra pine (Pinsu cembra) forest. it is huge, the pot is 150 cm long! I am not aware of any other cembra pine forest. This is still in development, of course. it will need about ten to twenty more years to look really fine. They are extremely slow growers.

I love big forests.
Is that pot a ceramic one, or it is an other material?
Tom,
this looks like a ceramic pot even to experts. Even if you come very close, like touching it. It is not an could not possibly be of ceramics. It is made of plastic by an expert, by Dieter from Germany.

Thank You, Mr. Pall.
I thought it is possible.
I´ve got a clay, which was used to produce 2m long pipes. Maybe one day I´ll make 1,5m long pot :-).
I know, how it sounds.
Walter,
This forest already looks fine......and in 10~20 years, will definitely look awesome!
The plastic pot REALLY looks like ceramic pot. Very good craftsmanship.
Is ceramic pot 'not possible' because it would not hold on the the weight or is there any other reason.
Would like to have your views.

Shaukat,
of course a ceramic pot in that size and quality is possible. But it would cost a fortune, because most pots of that size just don't come out of the kiln in good condition. And then it wuuld be way too fragile. How in the world would you carry a large forest in a ceramic pot of that size? You would need ten people to meake sure it does not brake. This pot has very strong steel bars in the bottom. It can be carried by two strong men. A ceramic pot would have to have much thicker walls and bottom , making it much heavier and loosing the light feeling totally.

Walter,
Thanks for your comments; this pot looks perfectly ok.
And ceramic pot this size will indeed be fragile, apart from the cost effectiveness and technical kiln problem.
